SO LONG MY SPARKLING WATERS....

Hey everybody! So I did my 3rd weigh-in on Thursday 10/24/19.  My recycling totaled to 4.0 pounds!!!! That's an 8.9 pound difference from previous average!!! What a HUGE improvement in just one week! (More on that in a moment).  My "garbage" totaled to 7.2 pounds, which was right around my average (7.0).  A total of 11.2 for the week... a nice improvement over my total average of 19.9.

One of the main things I did differently going into this past week was to stop buying any kind of plastic bottle.  While my household had switched to reusable water bottles some time ago, we hadn't given up our drinking of flavored sparkling waters.  Until this week.  I am looking into possibly purchasing a "SodaStream" sometime soon and I'll talk about that more when and if it happens.  We love our soda waters here... and while we knew all the plastic bottles really added up we always used the excuse that they could be recycled.  BUT they aren't necessary and we've gone over a week without them now without issue.  I'm not sure if that alone caused such a huge decrease in the amount of our recycling this week, but that was certainly the main focus.  I'm curious to see where we end up this upcoming Thursday, as I made a few more changes in my grocery shopping that hopefully had some effect as well.

Okay, that's all for today everyone! I'll be back again later in the week! And here's a picture of our trash this week... a noticeable difference from the previous weeks!!! (And yes, that is my pretty pink sock with teal sweatpants posed in the picture for you.  You're welcome).
