SORTING IT OUT...
Hello!!! And welcome to my new blog! I've decided to focus the next couple of months on reducing the amount of trash produced in my household. While we do a good job with recycling, we definitely need to pay more attention on the amount of single use packaging we go through. I am in charge of most of the shopping in our home, but I've got everyone on board.
The picture posted to your left is of the sign posted on the Zero-Sort Recycling bin in our neighborhood. It might be a bit hard to read here but it does a pretty solid job of explaining what can and can't be recycled here.
For this week and next week I'm not going to be doing too much to change the shopping habits for the house. This way I can get a bit of a gauge of how much trash we are actually producing in a week. I will weight both the trash and our recycling each week and then, hopefully produce less and less each week. Be prepared for lots of pictures of trash!!!!
My ultimate goal here is to not only significantly reduce the amount of trash we produce in our home, but also to gain and share knowledge about recycling and about how to reduce waste. Thanks for reading!
